In more personal news, the Steller’s Jays have displaced most of the crows in front of our house. We still have our family of crows, but in the morning I’m greeted by a group of about twelve Steller’s Jays. If I’m too slow with the peanuts, a couple of them will gather by the window where I drink my coffee and chatter at me until I fulfill my duties. They have a lot of business to get to and do not appreciate having to wait for me.
